Catering for a Cause is committed to our environment! For those customers who need disposable goods, we only use fully compostable, biodegradable or recyclable products. We purchase fresh local ingredients when available.  We also compost all of our organic waste and can arrange to pick up any leftover food waste and recyclables.

Institutional Food Services is operated from the commercial-grade kitchen located at the Women's Residential Center (WRC), a temporary home to about 50 women who have been involved with the criminal justice system and are now recovering from substance abuse. Women residents receive support from the research-based curriculum and comprehensive treatment. They are also exposed to vocational learning opportunities in the kitchen. Women are given a unique opportunity to learn food preparation, outside event catering and earn a Food Handlers Card while experiencing the value of taking on responsibility.
